1. The meeting was called to order at 7:05 pm by Joe Pavona. In attendance were Sean Looman, Jill Garnett, Katie McPherson, Carol Chapman, Cindy Carson, and Joe Pavona.
  2. Approval of Minutes
  • Sean Looman moved approval of the Minutes from the August 9, 2022 meeting and Cindy Carson seconded. The Minutes were approved.
  1. Reports

Treasurer:  Sean Looman provided written reports for both the Operating and Legal Accounts for the period ending August 31, 2022.  Both accounts were in balance.  Following discussion, Katie McPherson moved approval of the report as submitted and Jill Garnett seconded.  The report was unanimously approved.

LINC:  Cindy Carson reported no new information of interest.

Membership:  Katie McPherson reported that the Cider and Donuts Event went very well with the help of many volunteers.  Sean, Joe P, Joe T, and Joe Zimmerman erected the canopy.  Cindy picked up the donuts and cider.  Joe T provided his now famous cider spices.  Joe Zimmerman put up the sign and Katie McPherson organized the event.  The event was scheduled from 1 – 3 pm.  Many residents attend and favorable comments were heard.  Due to the success of the event, the Board agreed that it should be continued next year on the first Sunday of October 2023.

Maintenance:  Joe P reported that the new island on Sequoia Trail is still scheduled to be landscaped yet this fall.  All other maintenance has been performed as expected.

Webmaster:  Shiny Imberman shared potential options on a new design for the ILEHA website along with a different service provider.  Shiny will continue to research options and share with Board members as available.  Shiny will also be updating the site in the coming days.

  • Hannah Farms Update: Joe P reports that the status remains unchanged from the last update, i.e., no new discussions or interest on the vacant property.
  • Surface Water; Lake Levee Update: Joe P reported that the County Drain Commissioner’s Office has secured a proposal from the PEA Group to inspect and evaluate the condition of the levee, including risk assessment and timing of needed repairs/improvements.  PEA is a civil engineering company headquartered in Auburn Hills, Michigan.  This proposal is now being used to get conversation started with local and state officials on securing the funding ($65,000) to get this study done.
